The Pro-Scratch made its return to the Central New York PGA schedule Tuesday, September 8, at Drumlins Country Club following a few-year hiatus. The two-person gross best-ball event paired each PGA of America Golf Professional with one amateur partner.
Matt Campbell continued his strong season, keeping his streak of finishing as the low professional alive with a 7-under-par 64 to claim the individual professional title.
Campbell finished seven strokes under par, while Alan Savage and Nick Serafino tied for second at even-par 71. Robert Larsen Jr. rounded out the top four at 1-over-par 72.
Campbell and Clark also topped the team competition, carding an 8-under-par 63 to finish first.
Vinal/Vinal finished second at 6-under-par 65, while Tucker/Gaulin placed third at 5-under-par 66.
The Pro-Scratch concludes the Pro-Am stretch of the 2026 Central New York PGA season. One major event remains on the schedule, the Player’s/Head Pro Championship set for September 21-22. Be sure to check back and see who makes the Mitchell Cup Team!
