The Central New York PGA applauds five PGA of America Members who reaching significant career milestones – Bill Galloway (Half Century Club); Dennis Colligan (Quarter Century Club), Jay Turcsik (Quarter Century Club), Jason Harris (Quarter Century Club), and Bernie Herceg (Quarter Century Club).
These incredible milestones signify the commitment and passion each of these Members have exhibited throughout their respective careers.
Here’s a closer look at each individual:
Half Century Club
Bill Galloway, PGA
Galloway celebrated 50 years with the PGA of America on Nov. 30, 2023. Galloway’s achievement reflects his dedication and positive influence on the game of game and the Central New York PGA. Galloway, the general manager and proprietor at Dutch Hollow Country Club, also has four CNY PGA Section Championships to his credit.
Quarter Century Club
Dennis Colligan, PGA
Colligan earned Quarter Century status March 31, 2024. Colligan has served as the Head Professional of Cazenovia Golf Club for the last 27 years, the same facility he learned to play golf. Colligan has won Section and Senior Player of the Year honors for the last two seasons.
Jay Turcsik, PGA
Like Colligan, Turcsik earned Quarter Century status March 31, 2024. Turcsik has been both the Head Professional and the general manager at Mark Twain Golf Course since 2015. Turcsik was honored last December as the 2024 CNY PGA Merchandiser of the Year (Public).
Jason Harris, PGA
Harris, the Head Professional at Tioga Golf Club, celebrated 25 years with the PGA of America April, 30, 2024. Harris came to Central New York from Alabama. Upon arriving at Tioga, Harris instituted a PGA HOPE program for Veterans. Last December, Harris was earned the 2024 Patriot Award for his work with PGA HOPE.
Bernie Herceg, PGA
Herceg’s Quarter Century anniversary took place in February 2024. Herceg completed his 17th season as head coach of the Binghamton University Men’s Golf Team last year. He is also the PGA of America Director of Instruction at Binghamton University’s home course, The Links at Hiawatha Landing.
