PGA of America Golf Professional Tim Hume’s 2025 performance propelled him to Central New York PGA Section Player of the Year honors as well as Senior Player of the Year. The Section’s Player of the Year Awards are presented by Rolex.

 

Hume (McConnellsville GC) finished with 1,302.5 points to win his first Section Player of the Year ahead of Cazenovia Country Club’s Mark Tucker, PGA (1,145).

 

Hume won the Rocky Kelly Pro-Junior Tournament and finished tied for third at the Section Championship in August and at the Performance Harley-Davidson Stroke Play Championship. He also finished tied for second at the CNY Open.

 

In the Senior standings, Hume accumulated 1,444.17 points playing in 14 events with Tucker coming in second (1,327.50). This was Hume’s first Senior POY Award.

 

Robert Larsen, Jr., PGA (Onondaga G&CC) earned his third straight Section Assistant Player of the Year award, totaling 1,152.5 points over Tom Christoffersen (En-Joie GC).

 

Larsen had 12 top 10 finishes including a win at the Pro-Lady Tournament.

 

Brittany Wowelko (CNY PGA) won her fourth consecutive Section Women’s Player of the Year Award.

 

After their CNY PGA Junior Tour season, Nathan Brown, of Cazenovia, and Lindsey Chong, of Manlius, were named the boy and girl Players of the Year, respectively.
