The Central New York PGA’s Centennial Celebration in 2026 was among the focal points of the annual Spring Meeting held April 20 in the Shenendoah/Kaluhyat Clubhouse at Turning Stone Resort Casino.

CNY PGA President Will Weimer, PGA unveiled the Centennial logo and updated members on the details of the Centennial Celebration. Thanks to the hard work of CNY PGA Communications and Marketing Director Brittany Wowelko, a Centennial website will go live this season with information, videos and archived photos of the CNY PGA’s 100-year history.

A Centennial celebration for CNY PGA Members is scheduled for July 13 at Binghamton Country Club with a scramble golf event, a post-golf dinner and awards.

Each CNY PGA Member at the Spring Meeting received a set of three lapel pins with one being the Centennial logo which was created by Alternate Golf Logos. Company president Ryan Gabel, a former PGA Professional, and Zach Vinal, PGA Associate (Yahnundasis Golf Club) spoke to the membership regarding the design and the importance of an impactful logo.

The Membership also attended two break-out sessions at this year’s Spring Meeting.

In one session, Brian Bain, PGA of America Senior Player Engagement Consultant and Michael Kruger of Corebridge Financial and Financial Advisor PGA Retirement Specialist reviewed Retirement Planning (GRP and Deferred Comp).

The other session focused on Guiding Today’s PGA Associate. Heading the presentation was CNY PGA Tournament Director Dylan Plis, PGA, CNY PGA Assistants Association President Caroline Curry, PGA Associate and PGA of America Director of Recruitment Chris Kulinski, PGA

CNY PGA Featured Partners for the Spring Meeting were Corebridge Financial and Alternate Golf Logos.

Sue Douglas of Signs by the Sea, a Featured Partner and Product Gift Partner, was in attendance to talk to members. Signs by the Sea provided a CNY PGA custom wood “Quiet” sign with the CNY PGA logo for attendees.
