Steve Aloi, PGA (Camillus Golf Club) will be inducted into Central New York PGA Section Hall of Fame at the annual Special Awards and Hall of Fame ceremony and banquet Dec. 1 at Drumlins Country Club. The event is sponsored by our Presenting Partners: Turning Stone Resort Casino and PGA National Resort and Spa, and our Supporting Partners: Satch Sales/Club Car and M. Lemp Jewelers.

 

“I am incredibly honored and humbled to have been elected to the CNY PGA Hall of Fame,” Aloi said. “To be recognized by my peers as one of the best in our profession and placed among the elite of the CNY PGA is the greatest achievement of my 33-year career.”

 

Aloi earned Hall of Fame honors for his contributions and dedication to the game of golf at the Section and national levels.

 

During his 28-year career as a PGA member, Aloi has served the CNY PGA Section on the Board of Directors and was elected Section President from 2010-2012. Prior to becoming president, he served as secretary and vice-president of the Assistants Association, an organization he had a hand in creating.

 

At the national level, Aloi was elected to the PGA of America National Board of Directors in 2016, representing District 4 and the sections of the CNY PGA, WNY PGA and Tri State PGA. As a District Director, Aloi was involved in making important and historic decisions that had a big impact on the PGA of America. They included moving the PGA headquarters to Frisco, Texas and the moving of the PGA Championship to May.

 

Aloi was named CNY PGA Golf Professional of the Year in 2008 and Section Merchandiser of the Year (Private) in 2003. Besides golf, Aloi is also an accomplished bowler. He also a member of the Cortland Bowling Hall of Fame.
