Ben Donohue, of Baldwinsville, accepted a summer internship with the Central New York PGA Section for the 2020 season.

 

The 20-year-old Donohue, who is a rising junior with the Adelphi University men’s golf team, began his internship this spring. He will serve in a variety of roles with the Section including working its major events and helping with the CNY PGA Junior Tour.

 

“I thought it would be fun getting to work with the juniors and getting more experience doing what I want to do as a career,” Donohue said.

 

Donohue is a history education major at Adelphi. Donohue a 2018 graduate of C.W. Baker High School, also played on the CNY PGA Junior Tour for two years. His goal is to become a high school history teacher and become a PGA professional.

 

Donohue earned Salt City Athletic Conference Co-Player of the Year honors as a high school senior. At Adelphi, Donohoe competed for the Panthers during the 2019 fall season. He also made the Northeast-10 Academic Honor Roll last fall.
