Despite rainy playing conditions, Jackson Saroney and Kamryn Yerman won their respective divisions at the Bernard’s Custom Logo Junior Open on April 29-30. The opening event for the Central New York PGA Junior Tour was held Soaring Eagles GC and Mark Twain GC.

Saroney shot a 2-under-par 70 in the final round at Mark Twain to win the overall boys division with a 1-over 144 total. Three of his four birdies in the final round came on the back 9. Saroney, the first-round leader, was the only player to shoot under par.

Ryan Thompson finished second at 8-over 151 while Dante Bertoni was third at 9-over 152.

Yerman was the girls overall winner after rounds of 81 and 76 for a 14-over 157 total.

Nathan Hoham was first in the boys 12-13 division.

The event was worth double points for player of the year honors and the Tesori/Mulherin Cup.

The next event on the Junior Tour schedule is the Optimist Qualifier on May 13 at Sunset Ridge Golf Club.
