With a birdie on the fourth playoff hole, Bill Moore defeated Chris Quilty to win the Emmett Kelly Masters at the Cavalry Club Aug. 10.

Moore (Bellevue CC) and Quilty (Tuscarora GC) finished tied in regulation at 5-under-par 67 to force a playoff. The pair remained deadlock after playing No. 18 twice and No. 16.

At No. 17, Moore made an outstanding second shot out of the trees, landed his third around five feet from the hole then sank the birdie putt to earn the title.

A field of 87 amateur golfers and Central New York PGA players competed in the annual tournament.
