The Central New York PGA Section is pleased to announce Brittany Siechen has been hired as the Player Development Director starting Feb. 1. Siechen takes over for Brianna Sovring, who became the Junior Golf and Player Development Manager with the New England PGA Section this month.

Siechen, 29, became a PGA member in 2020. She’s worked alongside Nick Serafino, PGA, since 2017; first at Lakeshore 1860, the Cavalry Club and most recently at Timber Banks Golf Club.

While Siechen was earning her PGA membership, she has managed junior golf programs, coached Junior Golf League teams, led weekly clinics and administered tournaments at her respective clubs. In addition to her responsibilities at the golf course, Siechen has served at the head coach of the Le Moyne College Women’s Golf Team for the last three years.

By becoming the CNY PGA Player Development Director, Siechen will continue to impact the next generation of golfers and assist in the section other capacities during the tournament season.

“I am confident Brittany will work every day to promote the game, the section and our membership,” said CNY PGA Executive Director Alan Seamans.

Siechen is looking forward to being a part of the CNY PGA staff and overseeing its junior programs.

“What attracted me to the job at the CNY PGA was the opportunity to reach the junior golfers in the Section,” Siechen said. “I have a passion for helping juniors find a love of the game. I am most looking forward to meeting all of Central New York’s junior golfers and enhancing their golf portfolios.”

Siechen’s appreciation for youth sports extends beyond junior and college golf as she’s is also the Jamesville-Dewitt Middle School Volleyball Coach.

A Central New York native, Siechen played varsity golf at East Syracuse Minoa before playing four years with the Niagara University Division I women’s golf team where she was team captain. She graduated Niagara in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in finance with a minor in economics.
