Jacob Chong fired a 5-under-par 66 to earn medalist honors at the Apogee Investment Management Championship Qualifier on May 25 at Green Lakes State Park Golf Course.
Chong carded four birdies and an eagle on the par-5 10th hole against one bogey to top the qualifying leaderboard.
Tom Conroy also finished under par with a 68. Conroy recorded three eagles on par-5 holes No. 7, 9 and 10.
Chong, Conroy and 24 other players qualified for the AIM main event June 8. The qualifying cut line at Green Lakes was 82 with 66 golfers competing.
Green Lakes was the second AIM qualifier. The first qualifier was May 12 at Cortland Country Club with 13 players qualifying.
The next qualifier is May 31 at Cazenovia Country Club.
Qualifiers will join exempt players for the tournament proper. The 67nd annual event begins June 8 at RaNic Golf Club. The tournament continues on to Drumlins Country Club, Lakeshore 1860 and concludes at Cazenovia Country Club.
The defending champion is Brad Monroe.
