The Central New York PGA Section is excited to kick off the 2023 PGA National Day of HOPE Campaign.
PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere), is a national PGA Reach program. PGA HOPE’s mission is to change the lives of our Veterans through the game of golf, create lifelong players and enhance their physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being. The PGA HOPE program is free to Veterans.
As strong advocates for our Veteran community, our Section supports our troops who are actively serving and those transitioning back to everyday life in the U.S. through PGA HOPE. Here in Central New York, last year’s campaign, which raised over $5,000, helped our Section expand its PGA HOPE programming.
Thanks to your generous donations, new PGA HOPE programs were introduced this year at Binghamton Country Club by Rick Keding, PGA and at Tioga Golf Club by Jason Harris, PGA. These new PGA HOPE programs, as well as the established local programs at Turning Stone Resort Casino with Ryan McGinnis, PGA, helped Veterans across generations use the game to build camaraderie and to apply golf to life’s biggest challenges.
Our campaign to raise money for this important cause has begun. Our Section’s goal this year is $10,000. The first $10,000 we raise in donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar by PGA headquarters. All funds raised will go directly back into our local programming which directly impacts Veterans’ lives.
We hope you will consider donating to the PGA National Day of HOPE campaign to benefit our CNY Veteran’s Programs. From October 11 to November 30, the PGA is matching all donations received!
PGA HOPE will serve over 11,000 Veterans nationwide in 2023 and 30,000 annually by 2026. We hope you will join us in our efforts so we can continue transforming the lives of our nation’s heroes and offer out Veterans invaluable life skills through the game of golf. Your donation ensures we can serve those Veterans who need us.
