The Central New York PGA Jr. League All-Stars are set to compete for a spot in the National Championship after the All-Star Section Championship was held August 13 at Vesper Hills.
The Section Championship featured eleven teams in the 13u division and three teams in the 17u division, with teams competing for the opportunity to represent Central New York at the Regional Championship.
CNY East, captained by Ruth Weydig, PGA, won the 13u Section Championship with a score of 110.

Corning, captained by Matt Moretti, PGA Associate, captured the 17u Section Championship with a score of 108.

Both CNY East and Corning will represent the Central New York PGA at the Regional Championship, taking place September 11-13 at Drumlins Country Club.
The Regional Championship will feature a match-play bracket, with teams competing for the opportunity to advance to the PGA Jr. League National Championship.
For the 17u division, the National Championship will be held October 22-25 at Twin Warriors Golf Club in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico. The 13u National Championship will take place November 12-15 at Fields Ranch at PGA Frisco in Frisco, Texas. Both National Championships will be aired on ESPN.
PGA Jr. League Golf provides kids with a different experience than traditional individual golf, giving them the opportunity to play team golf in a league format while competing for flags and points. The program creates opportunities for young golfers to experience the game alongside their teammates while developing their skills both on and off the course.
The Central New York PGA thanks all of its participating PGA Professionals who serve as PGA Jr. League coaches and continue to grow the game both on and off the course.
