The 2026 CNY PGA Junior AIM Championship hosted, at the Yahnundasis Golf Club and Seven Oaks Golf Club marked the beginning of the junior golf season over the weekend. Players battled cool, breezy conditions on two championship golf courses at the season’s first major.
Ellie Kent from Warners, NY, secured the victory in the Girl’s division, finishing with a 2 day total score of +11 (153).
Kent delivered a remarkably consistent performance to secure her second major championship in her CNY PGA Junior Tour career, while the race for the remaining podium spots was decided by just a few strokes.
Abigail Hildreth maintained a steady pace, capturing second place by three strokes. Peyton Kowalski’s strong play earned her third place to start the season.
On the Boy’s side, Maine-Endwell teammates battled down the stretch with Blaise Brixner taking home the title. Brixner finished the tournament at 7-over par 149, relying on remarkable consistency and a solid 2-over par performance in his final round to secure the win. Following close behind was Chase Buckley from, who earned second place with a total score of 151. Rounding out the top three was Nathan Hoham of Hamilton, who finished just one stroke behind Buckley with a total of 152.
The Junior Tour returns to play May 23 at Sunset Ridge in Marcellus, NY for the local Optimist Qualifier . Top finishers in each age division will earn the opportunity to compete in the International Optimist Championship in July at Trump Doral in Miami, FL.
