With an assist from the Syracuse Crunch, the PGA REACH Central New York scored a fundraising goal April 12 during PGA REACH CNY Night at Upstate Medical University Arena.

 

A portion of the $22 ticket sales from the Laval Rocket game went to PGA REACH CNY. Proceeds from the game raised $1,304 for PGA REACH CNY which will go toward local PGA HOPE programs for 2025.

 

PGA REACH CNY Executive Director Joey Tesori, PGA said the Crunch have a deep affection for the CNY veteran community and wanted to earmark the money raised to the Section’s PGA HOPE programs.

 

“We are so grateful for this opportunity to have collaborated with the Syracuse Crunch,” Tesori said. “These dollars raised will directly affect our PGA HOPE programs here in Central New York. We are fortunate that this night led to giving directly back to our HOPE participants in 2025. We are so appreciated of the team at the Crunch and cannot wait for 2026 and beyond.”

 

The evening started with a ceremonial puck drop featuring Rocket and Crunch players, Tesori, PGA REACH CNY Chairman Nick Serafino, PGA and Tesori’s son Charles.

 

 

In between periods, CNY PGA CEO Alan Seamans, PGA and his children, Wes and Brennan, rode the Zamboni.

 

CNY PGA Marketing Communications Director Brittany Wowelko, PGA engaged fans at a pre-game CNY PGA display table. More than 100 emails were collected in an effort to grown the Section’s consumer database. Wowelko handed out some informative flyers, tee gifts, and had a raffle for PGA REACH CNY and CNY PGA swag.

 

Each game ticket purchased also included an entry for a chance to win two tournament tickets for the 2025 PGA Championship at Quail Hallow in Charlotte, NC. The winner will get to choose two tickets for PGA Championship competition either Saturday May 17 or Sunday May 18.
