Dylan Plis, of Camillus, accepted an internship with the Central New York PGA Section for the 2021 season.

 

Plis, who graduated from Franklin Pierce University this spring, began his internship this month. He will assist the CNY PGA staff as the Tournament Operations Intern. Plis will work Section events and CNY PGA Junior Tour events as well as playing a key role in the Section’s social media engagement efforts.

 

“What I’m looking forward to most is working with all the players and staff on a professional level and to learn from everyone throughout the CNY community,” Plis said.

 

Plis, a graduate of West Genesee High School, competed for the Franklin Pierce men’s golf team for four years. He earned Northeast-10 First Team All-Conference honors twice and was the NE-10 Rookie of the Year. Locally, Plis won the 2018 Syracuse District Golf Association Amateur Championship.

 

Plis earned his college degree in Sports and Recreation Management and minored in Marketing. His professional goal is to find a career within the golf Industry. He also plans to continue to play competitive golf when his schedule allows.
