The Central New York PGA conducted its Fall membership meeting at Turning Stone Resort Casino Shenandoah/Kaluhyat Clubhouse on Oct. 17.

 

Professional golfer and TV broadcaster Dottie Pepper headlined the guest presenters that spoke at the Fall meeting.

 

The three breakout sessions members attended were:

 

Career Goals and Playing Achievements (Pepper and Jack Conger)

 

PGA Reach Central New York and District Director Update (Alan Seamans and Ed Habjan)

 

Showing Value and Key Statistics (Chris Kulinski and Brian Bain)

 

The CNY PGA was honored to have all these distinguished presenters who led engaging group discussions with the membership.

 

Pepper, a Saratoga Springs native, signed copies of her book “Letters to a Future Champion: My Time with Mr. Pulver” for members after her sessions.

 

The meeting also included Section business. This is an election year. Rich Chapman is the new President. Will Weimer is the new Vice-President/Treasurer.

Mike Discenza was elected for the Secretary position.  Two open Board of Director positions were filled. Jack Conger and Ryan Evans were nominated and elected.

The membership also honored Membership Director Trish Wheeler on her retirement with a surprise ceremony at the end of the meeting. The ceremony included a video montage of current and former CNY PGA members sharing their well wishes on her 38 years with the Section. The Section also gifted Wheeler a framed flag from the Ryder Cup.
