It’s been 25 years since PGA of America Golf Professional Tim Hume has played at Skaneateles Country Club. But that layoff did not deter his ability to fire a 2-under-par 69 as he led all players at the Central New York PGA’s annual Pro-Lady Tournament on June 15.

Hume (McConnellsville CC) won the Individual Professional contest after carding four birdies against two bogeys on the day.

“The greens were really

tough,” Hume said. “But I only missed three fairways and that’s the key.”

Skaneateles’ challenging greens on cool and breezy day tested the 27-team field including Hume and his amateur players Patricia Hume, Susan Calandra and Nicole Walker.

“This golf course is nice but it’s tough. I was able to make a few birdies,” said Hume, the reigning Section and Senior Player of the Year.

Each team featured one PGA of America Member or Associate and three female amateur players.

McGinnis and Matt Jaynes (Corning CC) tied for second on the individual leaderboard with a 1-over 72.
