The 2023 Central New York PGA Junior Tour concluded Aug. 8-9 with the Junior Tour Championships. Boys and girls ages 9-20 competed in their respective age divisions on consecutive days at Turning Stone Resort Casino. Day 1 was at the Kaluhyat course and then at Shenendoah.
There were a number of exciting finishes to determine this year’s winners. They were (by age group):
Boys 9-11: Thomas Neave of Liverpool
Boys 12-13: Brayden Thomas of Syracuse
Boys 14-15: Thomas Goodelle of New Hartford
Boys 16-18: Chris Stilwell of Whitesboro
Girls 9-11: Livia O’Rourke of Rome
Girls 12-14: Chloe Tice of Syracuse
Girls 15-18: Evie Denton of Rome

At the conclusion of the tournament, the Junior Player of the Year awards were determined. The 2023 boys and girls players of the year were:

Boys 14-15: Jake Olearczyk of Barneveld
Boys 16-18: Carter Baum of Cortland
Girls 12-14: Chloe Tice of Syracuse
Girls 15-18: Kamryn Yerman of Frankfort
