Lauren Cupp shot rounds of 74 and 77 to win the Apogee Investment Management Women’s Championship by four strokes July 15.
The 34-year-old Cupp, who plays out of Rome Country Club and Yahnundasis Golf Club, finished 7-over 151 overall to claim her third AIM title. She won her other titles in 2017 and 2011. Cupp also finished second in 2018 and 2016.
The 29th annual event was played at The Links at Erie Village and Cazenovia Country Club.
Carina Watkins (Beaver Meadows Golf Club) finished second. She carded a 77 in the final round after a 78 in the first round to finish at 11-over 155.
Six-time champion Teresa Cleland (Bellevue Country Club) finished third (157) while Pennie Carlo (Crestwood Golf Club) finished fourth (162).
Defending champion Larissa Carter did not enter because she turned pro this summer.
Cupp is one of five players in tournament history to have won two or more titles.
While Cupp was the overall winner, the AIM Women’s Championship handed out hardware in six other divisions.
Those winners were: Jessica Riccardi (Junior 14-under), Lucille Fowler (Junior 15-18), Michelle Riccardi (Open Handicap), Janis Luce (Senior Handicap), Watkins (Senior Scratch), Cleland (Open Scratch).
