LeMere begins Spring internship with the Section

Joshua LeMere, a senior at SUNY Cortland, joined the Central New York PGA staff as a Spring intern Jan. 30.

LeMere is a sports management major with a concentration in Sports Sales and Marketing with a minor in economics. He will be involved in a variety of Section projects and events over the next three months before graduating in May 2023.

LeMere will also assist Brittany Wowelko, our Director of Foundation Programs and Marketing, with the CNY PGA social media platforms. LeMere’s course work in marketing make him a valuable asset. This is his first experience in the golf industry.

“I am looking forward to getting my foot in the door of the golf industry and being able to see what goes on “behind the scenes”,” LeMere said. “I also can’t wait for the weather to get nicer to work the events and see how they are run.”

LeMere, who played basketball in high school, is also a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity at SUNY Cortland.
