Eric Manning edged Jonny Petrin by one stroke to win the Empire Golf Cars Pro-Am/Pro-Officer Tournament held June 10 at Yahnundasis Golf Club in New Hartford.

 

Manning (Elm Tree Golf Club) carded a 1-under-par 70 with five birdies, including three in a row on holes 13, 14 and 15, against four bogeys. Petrin (Lakeshore 1860) recorded four birdies and four bogeys to finish at even-par 71.

 

Mark Tucker (Cazenovia Country Club) and Joey Tesori (CNY PGA Section) tied for third at 1-over 72.

 

FINAL RESULTS

 

It was Manning’s second straight individual victory in two weeks as he won the Stroke Play Championship on June 3.

 

Manning’s Elm Tree GC team was victorious in the Pro-Am Division (Format: 18 holes of team best ball with team score consisting of the 1 gross, 1 net of the group). Elm Tree’s team of Manning and amateurs Skyler Distin, Chris Griffin and Eric Schneider finished at 17-under 125.

 

Tied for second for the Pro-Am at 12-under 130 were Timber Banks Golf Club (Nick Serafino with amateurs Joe Nadzan, Terry Ward and Bryan Bayer; and PGA REACH Central New York (Joey Tesori with amateurs Anthony Falgiatano, Vinny Falgiatano and Charlie Falgiatano.

 

The Pro-Officer contest format consisted of 2 net scores. Coming in first place was Joey Tesori and Charlie Falgiatano (even-par 142) followed by Serafino and Terry Ward (6-over 148) and Josh Marshall (Tuscarora GC) and Chris Marshall (8-over 150).
