In an effort to benefit the Upstate Foundation and Upstate University Hospital, the Central New York PGA annually provides organizational support for the Upstate Towsley Pro-Am held at Turning Stone Resort Casino.

The Upstate Towsley Pro-Am Tournament has raised funds for a number of Upstate programs for four decades. Last year’s 39th annual tournament on Aug. 7 set a record for teams (59) and sponsors (24). It also set a record for money raised ($217,000).

Co-chairs of the tournament — Al Marzullo (from presenting sponsor IBEW Local 43/NECA Finger Lakes Chapter) and Tom Fletcher (C.R. Fletcher Associates) – presented a $217,000 check to Upstate on January 16, 2024. The proceeds from the Upstate Towsley Pro-Am supported the campaign for the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Fund at Upstate University Hospital.

The tournament provides players an opportunity to golf with a CNY PGA Professional and college golfers at the renowned Kaluhyat course at Turning Stone Resort Casino.

The Upstate Towsley Pro-Am Tournament committee also included Theresa Discenza, Bill Killory, Vince Spina, Joey Tesori, PGA and members of the Upstate Foundation.

The 40th annual Upstate Towsley Pro-Am Tournament is slated for June 24, 2024 at Turning Stone Resort Casino.
