The finalists for the 2025 Assistant/Associate of the Year were determined by the Central New York PGA Special Awards Committee in October. The winners will be announced at the annual Section Holiday Party on Dec. 4.

 

This year’s finalists for Assistant/Associate of the Year are:

 

Caroline Curry, PGA Associate (Timber Banks GC)

Caroline is involved in a number of initiatives that create opportunities for Assistants and Associates to learn, connect, and grow both personally and professionally. Her efforts include organizing mentorship-based

tournaments/clinics and providing direct support in the PGA Program.

 

Matt Moretti, PGA Associate (Corning CC)

Matt is committed to supporting national and Section initiatives, particularly in the areas of junior golf and player engagement. Matt’s body of work includes the growth and success of his PGA Jr. League teams and organizing the annual Southern Swing Assistants golf tournament.

 

Dan Trebendis, PGA Associate (Green Lakes State Park GC)

This past season, Dan dedicated his time to creating a comprehensive junior developmental program for players of all ages. Dan coordinated introductory golf summer camps for juniors, assisted with the PGA Jr. League program and increased youth learning opportunities through lessons.
