In October, the Central New York PGA Special Awards Committee determined the finalists for this year’s Special Awards. The winners in all categories will be revealed at the Section Holiday Party on Dec. 4.

All finalists have made noteworthy contributions to either the Section, among their peers or to the public in an effort to grow the game.

Below, we recognize the achievements of the finalist in Merchandising and Sales.

Golf Salesperson of the Year

Alex Smith, PGA (Alex Smith Sales)

Alex was named the Golf Salesperson of the Year, which is the top award presented to one of the Section’s Sales Manufacturer Representatives. This honor recognizes Alex’s exceptional service to his accounts, his professionalism and overall support of our professionals and our Section.
