PGA of America Golf Associate Matt Campbell started his 2026 season on a winning note with victories in two competitions at the Spring Pro-Pro/Pro-Individual Tournament on May 11 at Cazenovia Country Club.

 

The Spring Pro-Pro/Pro-Individual is an 18-hole Individual and Team Stroke Play Event using Stableford Scoring. Two-person teams were selected by blind draw. The points cap at 6 for an Eagle or Better. The format point system includes 1 point for a bogey, 2 points for a par, 4 points for a birdie. The points cap at 6 for an eagle or better.

 

RESULTS

 

Campbell and Central New York PGA Hall of Famer Stan Lisk, PGA teamed up to take first place in the Pro-Pro contest with 47 points. The duo edged Dennis Colligan (Cazenovia Golf Club) and John Markley (Pine Hills Golf Course) by one Stableford point.

 

Campbell (Teugega Country Club) also took first in the Individual Professional Contest with 44 points. Campbell, the two-time defending Central New York PGA Assistants Champion, carded five birdies and an eagle on the par-5 10th hole.

 

Colligan tied for second in the Individual category with Ryan McGinnis (Turning Stone Resort Casino). Both players earned 43 Stableford points.
