Three PGA of America Members finished in a tie first at the Towsley Open at Seven Oaks Golf Club on the campus of Colgate University on Aug. 26.

Ryan McGinnis (Turning Stone Resort Casino), Mark Tucker (Cazenovia Country Club) and Matthew Jaynes (Corning Country Club) all carded a 1-under-par 71 for a three-way tie at the top spot.

FINAL RESULTS

Tucker provided a bit of drama toward the finish. After McGinnis entered the clubhouse with five birdies against four bogeys for 71, Tucker birdied holes 16 and 17 to take the lead but bogeyed the final hole to tie McGinnis. Jaynes earned his share of first with a birdie on 18.

Last April, Tucker, McGinnis and Jaynes represented the Central New York PGA at the PGA Professional Championship in Frisco.

There was a two-way tie for fourth between Sean Dadey (Drumlins Country Club) and Dennis Colligan (Cazenovia Golf Club). Both shot a 1-over 73.

Tim Hume (McConnellsville Golf Club) won the Senior Division with 2-over 74.

Many thanks to Julie Simms and the Towsley team at the Upstate Foundation for their continued support.
