Forty-eight teams competed in the 38th annual Towsley Pro-Am on a warm Aug. 1 day at Turning Stone Resort and Casino.

The tournament was held on the Kaluhyat course and the format was a scramble.

The team of C.R. Fletcher Associates took first place with a 17-under-par 55. Team players included professional Dennis Colligan (Cazenovia Golf Club), and amateurs Pat O’Donnell, Wes Burghardt and Greater Syracuse Sports Hall of Famer and two-time Senior AIM champion Tom Fletcher.

This year’s runner-up was the team of the Rob Esche Foundation, Inc. with a 16-under 56.  Team members were Anthony Maglisco, Jeff Stone, Jim Zielenski and Rich Redmond.
The Towsley Pro-Am, benefitting Upstate University Hospital, raised $100,000 last year for the Golisano Children’s Hospital Center for Special Needs.
Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit child and adolescent mental health programs at Upstate.
