Fourteen pro-am teams representing the PGA Sections from Western New York and Central New York took part in the Turning Stone Resort Casino Travel Pro-Am between The three-day event was held April 30-May 2.
A different team format was played each day on Turning Stone’s three championship golf courses. Round 1 was played at Atunyote, Round 2 was at Kaluhyat and Round 3 was at Shenendoah. Individual competition between PGA Professionals also took place.
At Atunyote, William Weimer (Stone Creek GC), Bob King (Lakeside CC) and Matt Clark (Niagara Frontier CC) all tied for first with a 5-over-par 77.
In Round 2, Eric Manning (Elm Tree GC) carded a 2-under 70 to lead the field at Kaluhyat.
Manning and Mike D’Agostino (Penfield CC) tied for first place on the Professional leaderboard with a 1-under 71 on the Shenendoah Course.
The Cortland Country Club team of Kevin Morgan, PGA and amateurs Francis Loiacono, Pat Sermeraro and Dana Decker placed first in the team contest on Day 1 (2 Best Ball of 4; 1 gross and 1 net).
The Penfield Country Club, led by D’Agostino, and the Ellicotville Indoor Golf Studio, led by David Horn, PGA, tied for first on Day 2 at Kaluhyat in the 2 Best Ball of 4; 2 net format.
