Mark Tucker (Cazenovia Country Club) and Kevin Roman (PGA Life Member) competed in the 2021 Senior PGA Professional Championship at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie on Oct. 21-24.

Roman was among the players to qualify for the 33rd annual event. He shot 77-80–157 in the first two rounds.

Tucker, the 2021 Central New York PGA Senior champion, fired rounds of 75-71-68-73 for an even par 287 at the event. He fell a stroke short of finishing in the top 35 to advance to the 2022 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship. But Tucker is currently holding the fourth alternate spot for the Sr. PGA Championship at Harbor Shore Golf Club in Benton Harbor, Michigan.  In speaking with tournament officials following his last round, he was notified he has a very good chance at being able to represent us at Harbor Shores, May 24-29, 2022.

Tucker, who loves playing in national events, said that he didn’t hit it as well as he has in the past but that he never gave up.  He fought hard until the very end knowing that even par was a good score and that it would give him a chance.  He enjoys the competition but enjoys the networking opportunities these events provide him even more.

The CNY PGA is  proud of Mark’s recent stellar play and will be watching with anticipation as the Sr. PGA Championship approaches.
