PGA of America Professional Mark Tucker and his Cazenovia Country Club team had quite the day at the Central New York PGA’s Pro-Lady Tournament on June 16.

 

Tucker fired a sizzling 6-under-par 65 at Drumlins Country Club to earn PGA Professional medalist honors and his Cazenovia CC team with Liz Gaulin, Terri Weller and Colleen Vella captured first place in the team event at the annual tourney.

Tucker, playing the Drumlins course for the first time in a year, played error-free golf and carded six birdies for his 65.

 

“I putted really well,” Tucker said. “I made everything. The greens were fantastic.”

 

The Cazenovia CC team were in awe of Tucker’s performance.

 

“He put on a show,” Weller said.

 

“He’s a glorious golfer to watch,” Gaulin said.

 

Team Cazenovia CC finished at 20-under 122 to win by a stroke over host Drumlins CC. Team scores consisted of two low net scores.

 

“We had a great time with a great group of people,” said Colleen Vella.

 

Drumlins CC Head Professional Sean Dadey, PGA finished tied for second in the PGA Professional with Tim Hume, PGA (McConnellsville Golf Club). Both carded a 1-under par 70.

 

Dadey’s team of Carina Watkins, Anne Vieau and daughter Catherine Dadey finished second in the team event at 19-under 123.

 

Coming in third at 16-under 126 was The Pompey Club team featuring Joe Tesori, PGA, his daughter Jaclyn Tesori, Kara Cushman and Traci Stirpe.
