Jay Turcsik (Mark Twain GC) edged Mark Tucker (Cazenovia CC) by one stroke to win the Turning Stone Pro-Am Series Championship at Timber Banks Golf Club on Sept. 13. The tournament was the season-ending event for the 2021 Turning Stone Pro-Am Series.

 

Turcsik carded six birdies on the day, including three in a row on 16, 17 and 18, to finish at 5-under-par 67. Tucker, who had an eagle on the par-5 second hole, also scored six birdies but had three bogeys to finish at 6-under 68.

 

Rounding out the top five were: Elm Tree Golf Club’s Eric Manning (70), Corning Country Club’s Matt Jaynes (71) and Cazenovia Golf Club’s Dennis Colligan (74).

RESULTS

In the Senior Division, Joe Tesori (Pompey Club) and Scott Webster (Tuscarora GC) finished tied for first with a 78.

 

The team from Lakeshore 1860 won the team event with a 15-under 129. Lakeshore’s team included Kyle Siegel (B-1), Joe Petrin, Jr., John Meyers and Brad Hamilton. The team event was 18 holes of team best ball stroke play. Four person teams were made up of one professional and three amateurs. The team score consisted of the two best balls of the group; 1 gross and 1 net.
