The Central New York PGA Women’s Association, an association aimed at elevating and promoting the game of golf for women golfers of all skill levels, has scheduled two exciting events for the 2022 season.
The first tournament is set for August 7 at RaNic Golf Club (formerly the Country Club of Ithaca). The tournament is an 18-hole par 3 contest.
The Par 3 Tournament will be two-person teams. It is team best ball. The lowest best ball score will win. The ladies will play the par 3 tees around all 18 holes. There will be food following the event for participants.
The fee to enter the Par 3 Tournament at RaNic is $65.
The second event, the CNYPGAWA Championship, is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sept. 18 at Oneida Community Golf Club.
The tournament will be a Ryder Cup format. There will be an Italian style tapas menu following the event in honor of next year’s Ryder Cup. The 44th Ryder Cup will be held in Italy in autumn 2023.
CNYPGAWA Championship will be two-person teams with two divisions by age group. Ryder Cup format will be six holes scramble, six holes best ball and six holes alternate shot.
The fee to enter the CNYPGAWA Championship at Oneida CGC is $65.
