The Central New York PGA held its Pro-Assistant Championship on Monday, October 5, at Seven Oaks Golf Club, bringing PGA of America Golf Professionals and their Assistant’s and/or Associate’s together for a day of team competition. Swannies Golf served as the event’s partner on the tee.

Competitors faced challenging and unpredictable weather throughout the day, with conditions shifting from severe wind and rain to full sunshine. Despite the changing elements, teams battled through the conditions to post their scores and compete for the championship.

The Pro-Assistant pairs a facility’s lead or head PGA Member with a PGA Member or Associate working under them at the same facility, celebrating the teamwork and professional relationships that help drive success at golf facilities throughout Central New York.

Vinal and Currie claimed the championship with a round of 7-under-par 65 to finish atop the leaderboard. Campbell and Campanaro earned runner-up honors with a 5-under-par 67, while Steinsdoerfer and Hubel finished third at 4-under-par 68.

Winget and McGinnis finished fourth with a 2-under-par 70, and Seamans and Plis rounded out the top five with an even-par 72.
