YOUTH PROGRAMS
PGA REACH Central New York is dedicated to nurturing a lifelong passion for golf in the next generation through its Youth pillar. We provide accessible programs for all ages within the Central New York PGA section.
Our PGA Members are committed to delivering engaging and beneficial programs for junior players of all skill levels. The focus is on the physical and emotional advantages of golf, offering a safe, enjoyable environment where participants can master fundamental golf skills.
A prime example of this commitment is the highly successful and popular PGA Jr. League program, which has thrived in our CNY PGA section for over a decade. For more information about PGA Jr. League, please contact the CNY PGA Section office.
PGA Jr. League is the flagship youth program of PGA REACH, the charitable Foundation of the PGA of America. PGA Jr. League is a fun, social and inclusive opportunity for boys and girls to learn and enjoy the game of golf. PGA Jr. League brings family and friends together around fun, team golf experiences with expert coaching from PGA and LPGA Professionals.
The CNY PGA hosts multiple Drive, Chip and Putt qualifiers during the season. Drive, Chip and Putt is free nationwide junior golf development competition aimed at growing the game by focusing on the three fundamental skills employed in golf.
The Drive, Chip and Putt Championship is a joint initiative of the PGA of America, the USGA and the Masters Tournament. The National Finals take place each year at Augusta National Golf Club the Sunday before the Masters Tournament. The Drive, Chip and Putt is open to boys and girls ages 7-15. Boys and girls will compete in separate divisions in four age categories: 7-9 years old; 10-11 years old; 12-13 years old; and 14-15 years old.
